Last update: 18.06.25 with MSFS2024 SU3 Beta 1.5.7
After replacing my RTX 3080 10Gb with a new RTX 5070ti 16Gb, I have replaced my CPU/MotherBoard/RAM with these:
- CPU: AMD 9800x3D + ventirad ThermalRight PA120 (Peerless Assassin 120 SE),
- Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B650E-F Gaming Wifi,
- RAM: 64Gb (2x32Gb) Corsair Vengeance 6000Mhz CL30 AMD Expo
BIOS
- Resizable Bar: OFF
- AMD Expo: ON
- PBO: ON
Windows
Uninstall nvidia audio drivers (via Windows settings uninstall apps). It appeared I had stutters and noise crackling when the two audio drivers were actived (sonic mother audio embedded card and the nvidia audio HDMI). The crackling was intensed on the new AMD+Asus B650 motherboard. I had to disable a lot of devices I'm not using:
- Disable all useless playback device (Control Panel - Sound - Playback) : monitor, digital audio, digital output, sonic studio virtual mixer…). Keep only my headphones and Speakers.
- Disable audio Enhancements from Speakers Properties (advanced tab)
- Disable all useless devices from the motherboard via the Windows Device Manager: Realtek Audio Effects Components (USB), AMD Radeon™ Graphics, Mediatek Wi-Fi, nvidia virtual audio device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
nVidia App
Parameters to change for MSFS2024 in NVIDIA App (Graphics - MSFS2024 - Driver Settings) :
- DLSS Override - Model Presets : Use different settings for each DLSS technology, Frame Generation: Latest, Super Resolution : Preset K. This makes DLSS Swapper useless.
- Max Frame Rate: 60 FPS
- Power Management Mode: Prefer maximum performance
- Vertical Sync: ON

- Anti-aliasing: NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution

- Frame Generation: NVIDIA DLSS
- (new in SU3) Max Frame rate : 30. If you're with SU2 do it via the config file UserCfg.opt.
Global Rendering Quality set to ULTRA, except:
- Motion Blur: OFF (I dislike the visual effet)
- Traffic Airport Quality: OFF (all traffic are managed by FSLTL or AIG)
- Air Traffic: LOW for the "Offline Only" because of GAmod 2024 (all other AI traffic are managed by FSLTL or AIG)
- Road Traffic: ULTRA
- Sea Traffic: MEDIUM
- Fauna: ULTRA
The Terrain Level of Detail (TLOD) and Objects Level of Detail (OLOD) are managed dynamically with MSFS_AutoFPS by ResetXPDR (latest test version here and public version here). After takeoff, the TLOD is steady at 300, Clouds on ULTRA, OLOD 150. The Method useds is FPS Sensitivity
(only if before SU3) MSFS Configuration file, manual edit "UserCfg.opt"
